THE FILMS ORIGIN STORY

The film is a further development from the Performance Lectures "Íslenskt Snitsel" (Icelandic schnitzel) where Janus Bragi performed open investigations on icelandic online youtube material. Musician and visual artist Loji Höskuldsson usually accompanied him onstage and live scored the videos. He and his sister Eygló are the composers for 4 Reasons for sharing.

The events were informative, very funny and at times excruciating to watch. A vulnerable, nostalgic and raw look at the Icelandic sense of self.

”Snitsel” was performed on Skjaldborg - Icelandic film fest, at Icelandic Comedy Film Festival with musician Mugison, at Lókal performance festival and, regular basis at Mengi, a venue in Reykjavík and at private functions.

This video is a glimpse of the spirit of “Snitsel” and the pictures are from the last performance, where TV -and Youtube Chef Kristinn Guðmundsson cooked Icelandic schnitzel during the performance.
